The comments didn't take to her kindly, but I didn't know her tail cost $15k, wow. I was thinking more like $9k. xD

Sweet Jesus!
I had no idea a tail could even BE $15k o_O
Wow does anyone have a closer picture of it? I mean, Im guessing it's molded to her body and all but still sheesh.

The H2O tails by JMBFX are $20k and if I spent that much on a tail, I think I'd want the real handlaid scales, lol.

That seems a lot of a tail o_o even one like that.
I mean, I don't really like the way the h20 tails look but even so, sweet jesus!

I think a lot of it is the price of the hundreds (possibly thousands) of hours put into the scale laying. That's a TON of work, so obvs they wanna get paid for it. Plus silicone, neoprene, kick-thingy, I'd say it's...pretty accurate since it's movie quality.

Yea that is true!
I mean, I didn't mean to say it wasn't deserving to be $20k I'm just surprised o_0
It didn't seem like it was THAT much different but you're right the scales they do have are TINY so I bet there's like 10-20,000 of em or something completely insane like that xD

It is, haha. One day I'd like to make a silicone tail with the hand laid scales but it'd be difficult to figure out what to make 'em out of. I know they used some sort of plastic but that's 'bout it.

Yea its probably some high-end stuff I imagine, hence the price O_O
But even so maybe it is just plastic with a flexible glue? Because you can't exactly stick anything to silicone I don't think?

I'm not overly-well-informed about how silicone works but probably so? :b

You could buy three of ravens tails for that, and I would take a merbella tail over that tail anyday.

She had a Hollywood special effects artist make her tail. It completely hides her ankles and knees, so it's super realistic when it swims! I am crazy envious of her tail.
Also, fun fact: three people have sent me the link to this story in the past 24 hours. Including my Oceanography professor!

And also I AM BACK ON MERNETWORK HALLELUJAH! (I gave up social media for Lent)
