Not strictly mer-related, but maybe relevant to dealing with marine predators? Kind of reminds me of the way Valerie Taylor handles wolf eels and sharks?

This Canadian woman stared down a wolf after it had bitten her on the neck!!!

This article was pretty well written and that chick is badass. FINALLY a farmer who actually KNOWS animal behavior.
xD Sorry if I seem specifically aggressive or anything but I am a bit biased. I worked on a farm for a while and it always annoyed me how the owners were always like "We LOOOOVE animals" yet they didn't actually know jack about how to deal with then when they were stressed or agitated. Once we had a cow get loose and instead of just giving it some damn space and letting it relax as you're supposed to, they all just jumped on it and riled it up so much that it actually began charging people. Some guy even f*cking came out with a whip to probably just show off or something I honestly don't know what goes through people's minds sometimes -__-
Kudos to this chick for knowing her sh*t. She's probably learned from experience rather than reading it somewhere.

it's so cute!! haha I've formulated this theory that she was actually already a werewolf or shapeshifter and the "timber wolf" was actually someone from her pack that wanted to mess with her, and that's why she didn't freak out. But because there were witnesses, she had to come up with a story...
