Do the Aussies meet up at all? I'm thinking of maybe doing a charity swim later in the year, I'm involved in some high end stuff at my uni and might be able to do something good out of it ^_^ I was thinking we could do some sort of water awareness thing? Water safety or marine conservation? Have any of you done anything like that before?

It depends where you're from really - the Adelaide mermaids do meetups fairly often which looks like lots of fun.

We do lots of charity work at Mermaidens - we've worked with some national marine conservation campaigns, the childrens' hospital etc. and I know of other mermaids who promote water safety and things like that. So it does happen.
