View Full Version : Using Corset Boning In Dorsel Fins??

I had this idea as I was looking through some threads and read one (Can't remember who sorry) saying they wanted there dorsal fin to be less flimsy. Then I wondered if you could use corset boning to make the fin more rigid so it didn't flop over so easily. Would This work? Also do you think you could leave the boning chanels open so you could remove the boning so you could still sit down? :p

What I use for boning in the corsets and cinchers that I make is these:
10743
Really huge, thick zip ties.
I cut off the ends and melt the edges carefully with a lighter so it doesn't jab through the
fabric.
These would work, too, but moonflower's fins are beautiful.
