Another New Mer

Hey All,

First of all my name is Matt. I have been interested in the mermaids and becoming one for many years, however never told anyone until my wife who is very supportive. I come from a small city near Calgary, AB. Yes another Canadian, however land locked. No tail yet, but am looking to ordering my first tail (full silicone) from Mermaid Creations. If anyone has any suggestions as to approaching hotels/pools in asking them for permission to swim in a tail (once I order and receive it) please PM me and also if anyone on here does designs that I could look at the same please. Thanks in advance for welcoming new members to this amazing community.

The way I figure it with pools...Just go for it. You aren't hurting anyone/breaking any rules unless you buy from someone whose paint chips off, which Jesse's don't. If you ask the lifeguard it gives them a chance to say no before they really see you're no harm, but if they see you first they might just think it's cool!

A good thing to do is call ahead and ask first if they allow monofins. A lot of the times you'll have to explain what they are.
Also, if they say they're not sure, ask if you can give them a demonstration, pretty much to show that it's not a swim hazard, but a swim aid.
