Sorry to come back bit late. There're a lots of interesting threads to go through.


Mermaid Saphira, I have nothing yet! I'm in learning stage. My plan is, first, to get an affordable monofin to build up muscles. That was the reason I registered few days ago. I'm unsure about what tail would fit me. I have seen some tails very cool but I ignore everything about tails and the awkward moment of the first sea practises :$


With regard mers interest ... Last autumn I was watching stuff on youtube when a resort adv with a professional mermaid showed up. I clicked on it and loved how the little girls believe in mermaids. Then I checked the website of this mermaid. I got a very good impression of her as person and free-diver. And then here I am! Hooked and starting my journey to become a mermaid.

And yepa! I like the little mermaid tale since small.

I was thinking right now that I picked up a confusing nickname. Mar means Sea in Spanish and it's also my name in short.

Mer is from the Old English word for sea or lake. (Comes from the same root as mar.) Maid is a young woman in O.E. Mermaid=Seagirl
