You guys, these critters are awesome.
I don't know how accurate this comic is, but holy cow, you guys, these things can smash glass and stuff. And the part about their vision? Amazing.

The Oatmeal is hilarious in general, but his language can be pretty rough, in case you're sensitive to swearing and such. This comic is safe though.

Yea the're pretty freaking crazy!
I actually only just learned about their eyes in my neurobiology class which sort of raises the question of, wtf do they need to see that amazingly for? o_O
As for the bit about the aquariums my professor said they kept one in a regular tank just fine. He said sometimes it would take wacks at the glass but never managed to crack it so maybe it depends on the size of em? *shrug*
