hi everyone!
So, I received my silicone mermaids r us tail a bit more than a month ago, and Ive been having such great fun with it! Can you tell?

...I am thinking of purchasing another tail within the month, and I'm thinking it might be a fabric one. I've been thinking of this because I'd really like a more lightweight option for swimming/photography and I'll also be in Turks and Caicos in November for some diving (I'll be certified SCUBA by this time!!) and shipping/transporting the heavy silicone tail will not be an option.
I've been thinking of the gold magic tails option, (http://www.magictail.de/index.php?option=com_sebercart&view=store&ck=1&Itemid=14&lang=en) as i really love the realistic scale pattern printed on the spandex/lycra. I also think they photograph very well, from what I have seen. However, the reviews on here have been just ok.
The other option is the swimmable fringe tail (http://www.etsy.com/listing/94394032/mermaid-tail-swimmable-fringe?ref=shop_home_active)from aqua tails. I like the way this tail looks based on the photo and I also watched a few of Jerilyn's videos. I like the fringe a lot (I think it will look awesome swimming) but I am not very excited about the color options. (emailed Jerilyn to find out if more color options were available via etsy) However, I think that including a finis wave monofin increases the awesomeness of this product, whereas the cut monofin for the magictails option has not gotten such great reviews.
The cost for each of these options figures out to be about the same. I need some help deciding!!!
Also, i am wondering your experience/opinion of swimming in a fabric tail....do you feel they look fluid and graceful under water? Are they decently realistic looking in photographs? Pros of a fabric tail?

ps--- yes, the bunching that you see in the photos I posted of my silicone tail really suck and bug me. The tail maker purposely made it too long so i could trim to my liking, but I am a bit hesitant to cut it, as this si so permanent and I don't want to goof it up. I feel more comfortable pulling it up well past my waist, but there is so much extra room which ends up dispoersing itself around the knees, ankles, and usually a wrinkle in the midsection:(

I think you should go with the AquaTails, personally. Although MagicTail's tails are gorgeous and customer service is fantastic, the monofin issue seems to arise a lot. Jerilyn's tails are fantastic and they seem to always have new colors coming in all the time.
