I can't see a thread on this already, but a just a quick note for anyone living on the sea floor that in NZ from about August (once the bill passes into law) two people will be able to marry regardless of gender. It doesn't affect my relationship personally, but it does make me happy :)

You're right, it won't happen with Abbot either. But what people seem to be forgetting is that we don't just have to choose out of Gillard and Abbot....there are other choices, and maybe we need to start taking them :)
