New Tail Ordered

Hey Y'all,

So I have ordered my new and first tail. Its going to be a while before I get it, but am already looking forward to receiving it. I have a few ideas of designs but nothing set in stone. If anyone has any ideas of color for a merman, feel free to post them.

How exciting! Which tailmaker did you decide to order from?

I ordered from Jesse at Mermaid Creations. I came to that decision after reading many posts about many other tail makers. I also wanted to get a pure silicone tail made of Dragonskin Platinum Silicone as that material as I have read seems to be the best out there at this time for a swimming tail.

@Raina, so far how would you review your sisters tail from Mermaid Creations?

Awesome! Do you have a specific color scheme?

I have one idea, not which I will disclose quite yet. I would like to know colors and color design for a merman, I ask this as I am not very art minded, more analytical and logical. If anyone has ideas feel free to share. Also thanks everyone for the warm welcome to the forum.

Well, for design ideas... Do you want to go realistic or more fantastical? And what's some favorite colors of yours?
if you want a tough look, I'd say look at some shark pictures for inspiration. Not all sharks are gray!
if you want something brighter though, look for pictures of reef fishes.
For something between those last two, look for freshwater fish pictures.

Hey MerMatt! Welcome, and congrats on ordering your tail! take a look around the forum and online for other mermen- maybe you could be inspired! I don't really think there's a particular theme or color style that a merman has to adhere too- we are unique in our own way. Azaira gave good advice, just google "tropical fish" or "different sharks".... you'll see something out there and know that it's right for you. Best of luck, keep us posted!
