Anklets for tails?

I've been thinking about it a lot and I was wondering if anybody else has worn/seen/thought of wearing an anklet type thing for tails? I remember reading something like what I'm thinking of in the original story of The Little Mermaid and think it might look cool. Obviously they would have to be lightweight and stuff. I don't know. What do you all think?

I have one that I designed for my tail, but no pictures of it yet. I've seen a photo or two of Mermaid Odette with a pearl 'tail-let'.

Lei Loni wears fishing net around her ankles to hide the roll when her tail slides down.

I like the idea of an anklet around the tail where your ankles are but not to sure about for a merman.

ERMAGHERSH. Another Mermaid Melody fan! (I'm REEEEAAALLLY tempted to do a Lucia cosplay, because my friends say I sound like her when I sing. =.= Though, I'd have to make another pink tailskin.... >< OHWELL. Just sayin', glad I'm not the only fan. I have the stuff to make a tail-let, but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. ><

Thats a lot of teeth! But yeah I think thats a good price and shipping isnt bad either. I may have to pick up some :)
