Lol Im glad Im not the only one xD but my problem is I dont even really know where to start with getting one :/ and Hyli thats awesome Im so glad Im not the only Richmonder lol and Chris I would love to go to the meet up I'll have to see how funds and such are before I can commit tho

Don't worry about not having a tail yet, CelticMermaid. If you are good with crafts and such there are many helpful tutorials and threads in the Tailmaking section of the forum on how to make your own tail. They're very helpful. I've learnt a lot from them!

Thanks Sea Pearl Im def gonna go check out those threads, so I guess for a beginner like me a fabric tail is better than a realistic one?

Personally I think the fabric tail would be good for a beginner, they weigh alot less and are very easy to get on.

Making a fabric tail looks like a load of fun. I'm getting ready to make my first fabric tail at the moment :)

I made one last night in between working on other costuming. LOL Now I am worried it will fall apart. I bought this sparkle dot fabric months ago and used that. It is not perfect, but got it to looks semi decent. I can picture all the dots falling off and floating around the pool. LOL. Just have to do the elastic and I am going to just put velcro I think at the fluke to keep the fabric closed, b/c I want to use my fluke for another tail when I start on it

I wish haha my birthday is next week so I'm waiting until then to start gathering materials and get going. So for right now I'm just working on ideas for it and how to do the monofin and possibly the dorsal fin. But within the month I should get it.

I just ordered my wave monofin off amazon for $38.20 total. I'm just going to keep practicing in it, my mermaid flow it a bit angle-y and less fluent. I'm still running through designs too.
