Im making a tail for my friends little sister who is really like my little sister. She asked me to make her a tail, and how could i possibly ressist? The only problem is that they cant afford a proper monofin and since she is such a little thing i dont think a lot of monofins would fit her.
I had an idea that maybe if i were to make the tail out of fabric, i could open the fluke and squeeze silacone coulking Between the 2 layers of the fluke and mold foot pockets into the silacone. it would at least add a bit of propulsion and it would look better than with no monofin at all.
Has any one tried this or anything like it?

I would be concerned that using caulking would be too flimsy and wouldn't get her any propulsion. It still might be worth a test though. What about using regular swim fins?

Since she wont be using it quite as much or as extreamly as we do, i dont think she would need much propulsion but i think the only thing we would need to worry about is the fluke having structure and some sort of shape. I thought about running wire through the fluke to make it have shape, but that wire would eventually bend and snap.

Getting cheap bi fins at the store and duct tapping them together works ^^

What would the shape be like with two fins that are attached?
