I am unfortunately in the "gotta be responsible and wait for the financial aid refund" boat before I order anything. I'm an artist, but don't trust my tail making abilities yet. :p

I live in PA, but near Philadelphia, so not exactly nearby. I did visit Pittsburgh last summer, though, so I've been in the area.

I want a realistic-looking tail that's colorful, with big flukes, and a monofin that can handle riptides. My dream is Raven's basic tail with a competitor monofin, but stories of her being very difficult to get ahold of, waiting lists and periods of non-reception of orders have been discouraging ><

That's cool, I've never really heard anything about raven until I joined mernetwork. I hope you are able to get the tail you want! It sucks waiting and just dreaming about what it will be like.

I live in Cincinnati! And I don't have a tail yet but I'm working on either a painted or a sequin tail. Just gotta wait for funds. :)

That's the story of our lives: waiting for funds. I really don't care how or from whom I get my tail. I'm about at the point where I'm ready to proposition random hobby tail makers. Just as long as the tail is what I want.

If you want to try to make some quick cash and are healthy and don't mind driving to cincinnati you could try Medpace (http://www.medpace.com/WhatWeDo/ClinicalPharmacology/StudyParticipants/Default.aspx). I did a month long study with them and made $1,125 to help pay rent. The one you would want would be one of their weeklong overnight things where you just stay there for a week and can make up to about $2,000. That should pay for a decent tail.

Medpace just offered me $4100 for an arthritis study that I don't need to have arthritis for. There are injections and blood drawing involved, but I'm willing to go through that for that much!
