I have a tail and a top to match, but I would really like some other mermaid acessories that I can swim with. What should I make them out of? I don't really have any expirience with waterproof things, and my neclace that I made broke in the pool. Fiona and I did have a lot of fun diving for them in the deep end though...Anyway, I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks!

I made a belt and hair clip, they work perfect.

I'm making mine from hemp string, it does fray eventually, but I kinda like the look.

Hemp is gorgeous but for my own jewelry I like to be really-really-really durable, haha.

I'd recommend fishing line to hold it together, or just any other sort of "plastic-y" string. Invest in some E-6000 and then some string, seaweed, fishing net, etc. and see what you can come up with! :)

I agree with MerEmma. Durable is good. I've made diving necklaces out of plastic thread and cheap (but pretty) beads, and those last a long time! They're also fun to play with in the pool :p

Plastic is the way to go if you are looking for durable. You can also try coating certain things with a sealant if it isn't already water proof.

E-6000 or silicone I think works. There have been a *few* threads on it.

We don't have E6000 glue around here :(

Anywhere? D: That sucks. You could order it online, shipping really shouldn't be too terrible even if it's a far distance. It's so small.

I think Plumber's Goop would work, it's similar to E6000.

Superglue? I've never used it, so I don't really know how it works, but it seams logical...

I think you can seal the starfish with epoxy resin.
