They are hard as a rock. Wore the white one to my show today and it was AWESOME. Everyone loved it. I use these for dance, so I figured why not try it for swim?
The turquoise (looks teal but that was my camera) is too small for me so I'm thinking of putting it up for sale--if one of my students doesn't want it first.

Thanks you guys! And yes shimmygoddes, it worked perfectly. I was worried about the plastic since it tends to slip when you sweat, but it held up better than I expected. I had to adjust myself two or three times total in two hours. My dance partner wore one identical to the turquoise top and it worked great for her too.

You're telling me dance tops hold up in water? <3<3<3

These are from Cairo. They are the super hard cup ones made for Egyptian dance and bra/skirt combos. They are also known as Dina bras because they were made famous by the superstar in Egypt. These hold up. My regular bras that I've covered in fabric do as well. If you decide to turn a bra into a swim top PLEASE take of the straps or cover them. Same as dance. No lingerie straps for dancing and certainly not for swimming. These specifically are not rinky dink coin tops or China made from eBay. I'm sure those would be fine in the water but don't take my word for it. Coins rust so I wouldn't suggest using those.
I also would recommend keeping your dance tops dry. At least until you are ready to retire them. I don't suggest using them for dance and swim at then same time. They may stink or their materials will be damaged from chlorine and you certainly don't want to pack that in a bag with your good stuf! Ew!

I don't suggest to wear a dance bra using them to swim it will be damage so keep it up for dancing.
