So My Rapid got here, and it keeps slipping off my feet in the water. :( I'm not too pleased at the moment...

Dottie: I have the same problem with my wave as the straps don't stay on while swimming. That's one of the reasons I us a Triton now.

Finis seems to have that issue! I've heard the Rapid and the Wave have that problem, and the Finis Mermaid fin I saw some girls using at the pool the other day didn't work well much at all. :s

Are they better once inside a tail? With socks?I Tightened the straps as much as I could and was still slipping out. Anyone have any tips?

Inside a tail the tail keeps the monofin to your feet, but the straps keep slipping off :(

Your feet might be too small for the rapid, wear socks and you should be fine or E6000 the straps to be tighter.

I have the same issue :/ my feet are not too small for the monofin I have but the straps never want to stay on. I'll probably try replacing the strap with something that works better. I'll let you know if I figure out any better methods for keeping your feet secure.

The Rapid is mainly made for mens feet. It's wider and larger. I have no problem with mine an they do not slip off in or out of the tail. But I would think that you might have to replace the strap. That seems to be the big issue, plus wearing neoprene socks might help with the sizing issue.( to take up space)

I had a HUGE problem with my mermaid monofin and that. Like I couldnt even get across the pool with it falling off. I think I'm going to get some cord or something and tie it around my ankle and the fin straps to keep them on

The straps slipped off a couple of times, but it came all the way off my foot once. I'm thinking that once I get it inside my neoprene tail, it won't come all the way off anymore.

SIDENOTE: Of course, when I do put it inside my tail, I'll have a rig set up so that it won't actually be on my feet....

I have a rapid and I used Gorilla Tape to take in the staps a bit. Just cinched them to where I wanted them {well past the little built in notches}and then taped the excess parts of strap back on itself to the part of the strap that actually touches my foot.

Sort of, yeah.
It'll go Kickboard, hinges, pvc, and then I have to figure out how to attach the pipes to these plastic feet I have, that I'm going to fill with... something. Not sure what yet.

It came! I am so thrilled! It fits well, I haven't gone swimming yet, but so far it feels like it fits good. :)

I went swimming! The straps slipped a little bit but nothing bad, it's also a tiny bit big. I think if I get a pair of neoprene socks it will fit perfectly. So far I am very happy with it. :D
