I don't know if any of you have ever watched "An Idiot Abroad", but I do from time to time, and on one episode, Karl goes to India. He meets up with this Holy man, and they spend the day together. When Karl leaves, the Holy man says "Please love yourself," as they part ways. That has really stuck with me. Please love yourself..... anybody else heard any really thought provoking things lately?

Major Motoko Kusanagi: "You talk about redefining my identity. I want a guarantee that I can still be myself."
Puppet Master: "There isn't one. Why would you wish to? All things change in a dynamic environment. Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you."

"Not all who wander are lost" is a quote I see on a lot of engraved jewelry I want in one of my magazines. I don't remember the origins of the quote though, but it's one of my favorites.

That's a quote from JRR Tolkein, in his poem "All That is Gold Does Not Glitter" written specifically for Lord of the Rings.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

I found this as I was combing the internet

"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."
--E.E. Cummings

I actually started to cry a little bit when I read this
