YAY ME!!!
So as most of you know or may not know I was having an issue with my H2O/POC Mermaid tail
pretty much I was missing the steps of what to do after the plaster casting and the leg mold were made
11614
and after the neoprene pockets were done with the foot pads and rod and the monofin
11615
I had no idea how To get from these first two steps to making the actual tail and the silicone skin and laying out all the scales
11616
11617
I was literally freaking out and getting all depressed because I couldn't figure it out and thought i was gonna have to give up the whole idea of making this tail
but last night I was watching a behind the scenes Thing on making the mermaid tail from Aquamarine which is made pretty much the same way the H2O tails are made considering they are made by the same studio.
So in passing the dude on the little behind the scenes thing mentioned that the tail was basically a Latex Foam skin with a silicone skin (or coat) over that and then the the scales where glued on.:jawdrop:
I had to rewind the video to make sure i heard him correctly and sure enough i was right. he pretty much filled in the gaps for me :jawdrop:
All I need is a Latex foam sheet to form around the foam mold from the plaster cast then to coat it in silicone and add the scales.
then I place the Neoprene leg pocket with the extension rod into the silicone and latex foam skin, adhere the two together, attach the monofin and Its done!
yeah i know its most likely way more involved then i just made it sound and i am most likely am missing a few steps
but i pretty much got it done.
Guys do you understand what I'm saying!
I"M ACTUALLY GONNA BE ABLE TO MAKE A REPLICA OF THE H2O TAILS!!!!!!
I"m like jumping up and down right now.
OH THE CLEVERNESS OF ME XD!!!
