Shello! I'm thinking of making a shell top, like the ones that the Merbellas and a few others make (there are a lot of shell top threads you can look at for pics). Does anyone know of a company that sells durable fishnet that is comfortable and won't break? A lot of the decretive stuff I'm worried will disintegrate in the water.

Hobby Lobby does too. It's actually recycled fishing net, so if you get it, give it a few washes.

A lot of the decorated stuff is, as Comatose_Angels says, actual recycled fishnet. So it will hold up fine in water. It is a little rough but if you run it through the wash a few times with liquid fabric softener it ought to take some of the roughness out of it.

Seeing as I just got a bag of fishnet for my new top, its good to know the fabric softener works.

*throws fish net in wash* >> Take THAT rope burn!!
But yeah, Michael's (art/craft store) has it, hobby lobby, the fishermen at the docks... >> Wash it first, and it will ALL hold up. That stuff is make to take a beating.
