So recently i read an article about a mermaid in the paper and was very disappointed as the mer seemed to be dissing the mermaid community saying there are only a handful of mermaids that are good and all the rest were freaks and weirdoes and how she is so great .... i find this kind of stupid as who is going to buy your products and services if you speak about your past customers, friends even, in such a way .... bad form ... theres so many different things you can do with mermaiding from education to modelling and I dont think you have to swim in the ocean and be a great free diver to be a mermaid... if you dont have anything nice to say please keep the fish lips sealed.

Has this article been published online? It is best to say nothing at all if you cannot say anything nice. What this person maybe does not realize is the mermaiding community is a great way to achieve success and build connections with other mers. We will achieve more in a group than if we were all alone.

its not online but was printed in the paper - just some very rude and egotistical remarks, i thought wow, harsh much. I have learnt a lot from some of the mers on here who might not even get a chance to go to the water but they still have skills and talents in other aspects of mermaiding ! anyhow yeah i just thought it was pretty bad for business too :/

oh there's a few out there that are arrogant like that. Live in their own bubble, and they're their own worst enemies. They cut themselves off from the community with remarks like that and shoot themselves in the fin if you ask me.
