So, I finally went to Michaels today to get a bit of materials for the top, belt, and anklet. I was limited on cash, so this is all I could get. The rest of my money is going to a new tail, so in honor of the new tail, I decided to make a new top at least. If I have extra net I will most definitely make the belt and anklet.. ahem, tail-let..
A few questions..
What should I use as the top, a bra?
I also need to get some shells to put on there, so lion paw definitely. But should I make silicone, or seal it with resin?
I like real shells, because then its more natural. I will add some little beads, pearl-like ones most definitely. My mersonas major obsession is shells and pearls. :)
So I hear E6000 is a good thing to glue stuff down, right?

Pictures of current materials~ (I linked it due to how large the images are)

Edit: Lion paw shells or not? I was actually thinking of making a seaweed tube top on a nude strapless bra, and then use netting for extra support, and weave pearls and shells throughout it. Opinion?
After hearing and reading some not so great stuff about E6000, I'm going to get some Gorilla glue..

Yeah, E600 works great. It's toxic stuff however so use a mask and a well ventilated room. I personally think real Lion's Paw shells hold up better, but if you wanna go for silicone then do it ;D For The bra I recommend using a nude colored strapless bra to match your skintone (make it a bit tighter so it wont fall off), and the hide the bra with leaves, shells, pears, etc. Good luck! Post pics when you're done!

Definitely will. Any advice on something non-toxic to glue stuff with? I really don't want ANYTHING toxic for myself, as I was born a premie, and have a very slight asthma problem, no inhaler needed, but I don't feel comfortable with using toxic materials.

I made mine using an underwire bra. I used real lions paw shells and for adhesive, I used lots and lots and lots of hot glue! I tried using E6000, but the fumes made me dizzy. (I even had windows open and a fan going!) Be careful with the hot glue. I actually had my glue gun drop on my arm. I have a little round burn scar now.

i think I'm going to hunt around the forums. I'm almost thinking of making a seaweed tube top, with some netting, and small shells
