Mer-meetup for Florida mers?

Mer Meetup in July for us Southern Mers~
I'm thinking of having a mer-meetup when I get my tail. I'm not sure, but I know it'll be here next month.
Anyway, I was thinking Nokomis Beach, North Jetty? We could have some photoshoots on the rocks, and its not that deep, theres a sandbar, for those who get tired easily swimming, or something. I don't know.. But it is a nice beach, and somewhere I'd be able to get to, and I was wondering if anyone would like to have a meetup, what times you think would be good, and what day. :D We could all have little floaties, or something, or get our tails on in a less noticeable area of the beach, then swim up all at once, surprise some kids! I was thinking we could possibly share ways of contacting eachother, to make sure that we don't end up in random locations.

That sounds absolutely wonderful! When is Merpalooza? I could probably arrange it around that time! As long as its before August 7th..
Thanks so much for offering the underwater photo option! I have a camera that goes down pretty deep, but it lacks a screen, so all my footage is messed up. If you could focus on me for just a few minutes during the meet, enough for some footage for one new video, I'd be pretty grateful. Then I'd ask if you could email the footage for me, I'd credit you in the video of course.
I've been promising footage, then my tail messes up, so I have to get a new one, then my camera with the screen gets wet inside, and I have to get a camera where I can't get any good footage.. So yeah, I want to be able to get some good footage in the ocean for one of the first few videos of my new tail.

EDIT: Not to sound self-centered or anything! I could probably even edit all the footage together, for a video of the meet. That way we could all look back at the meet, and all those attending would be focused on. :D Unless someone else has better video editors.. I have Windows Movie Maker Live..
Double Edit: I just checked, it says August 9-11.. I am not to sure.. as I have school starting up sometime early August. :( Which is why I was looking into July

Oh well.. I'm not all to sure then. Maybe I could attend Merpalooza this year, but I doubt it. School starts early August, and the 10th and 11th are probably the only days I could go, but still highly doubt I'd be able to. What editor do you use?

I use Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro to edit.

The trade show is on the 10th. THe 9th is a meet and greet day and there is a beach photo shoot being planned. THe 11th is also an excursion day. Join the fb group to keep updated on that.

Hey Ilonka would you want to attend this Mermeet? :D I really want to attend one, but each time somethings come up, such as not having a tail, or something weird.. But I know next month I'll have a tail, so nothings gonna stop me.. even if I have to make a friend drive me. No liscence family xD
