I have a Fishbutt's neoprene/silicone tail and the fluke is beginning to detach from the body! This is terrible considering that I have an audition soon and a gig in a month. How can I fix this, even if it's temporary?

Heh. Oh, fish butts...everyone's favorite reTailer...know of e-MER-gency but that requires time that you don't have. Would neoprene glue work? Or E 6000?

Where could I find neoprene glue? That sounds like a good option.

Punch in "scuba store" along with your city into google. It'll show you the closest locations.

Can you post a picture of how its detaching? I assume you mean the neoprene and latex that covers the monofin is coming apart from the neoprene and latex that makes the sleeve that goes over your legs but I'm not sure. How were they originally attached?

they were probably originally sewn on and then covered with the neoprene. that's my best guess, anyways...
good luck! i wish i could help more. whatever you use, make sure it's safe for neoprene AND silicone!

First off, she doesn't use neoprene, she uses neoprin. E6000 might work, but I find it doubtful. Neoprene glue won't work at all. My best suggestion is use some GE silicone II (because I'm 75% sure that's what she used on mine) and glue the silicone bits together. Do a test, though, to make sure it's not a bad combo.

Didn't the same user create another thread about removing a fluke and how to create a new one? 'Cause I'm wondering if that's what happened here.

e6000 will not adhere to silicone but it does adhere to neoprene/neoprin....Ive done it with the neoprene I use to back my shell weighted belts. The GE silicone I or II will work but Liquid Nails Brand silicone glue would be better. Liquid Nails glue can be found near the GE silicone at home depot or lowes
