Mermaid name poll!

[Mermaid Lilium]

Was talking to Kakarotte today and we were throwing a few ideas around for my mer name!

As there's already a Mermaid Kat and a Mermaid Star (which would be my usual nickname for things *cries* lol Don't think I could get away with Starry or something ;P) I've been thinking carefully about what name to use. These are the best ideas that we came up with today^^^^

If you have any better suggestions/alternatives throw them my way!

Kat Arnold is my real name, but my nickname for like 10+ years online has been Star/Stargirl/'Starry', which actually influenced the name I have worked under as a photographer for about the last 7/8 years 'Stargirlphotography' (I've been trying to phase this out in favour of my real name)

My middle name is Elizabeth btw

I have natural auburn/ginger hair, pale skin, freckles and blue eyes. My mer tail is going to either be ethereal/pale or a black & purple, slightly 'dark' look (bear in mind that I'm going into tail making so it's quite likely I'll end up making both haha. I'm also going to be developing what I'm nicknaming my 'Waterhouse' tails which are fresh-water, plant-based tails, which with my red hair will look super pre-raphaelite lol

edit: I went back and managed to do user searches to try and rule out ones that are already taken or too close to existing names (or ones that I didn't really like that much) And I found out that there's already Mermaid Celeste. Celestia is kinda way too close =/ So this is basically 'the' list now.

I think I like... Aurie. Or Auri. ... Aori? Decide on how you like the spelling, but I think the name sounds cute and ... fitting too. It reminds me of the words " Aura" or "Aurora"?

hehe it comes from aurora ;D There's already someone using aurora so I figured it was a good alternative version

I posted on my fb for more opinions and from the list the most popular ones seemed to be Lillium or Rosaline interestingly

I like Lilium too, but it has a different feel to it. The name sounds more adult, classy and a bit dark but sophisticated.. I think
And Auri, or Aori .. or How you want to spell it, I'm only listening to pronunciation, and it's more adorable, innocent and serene~ ..I dunno O.O

I like Lillium, Rosaline and Iris. Those names sound a bit more "grown up" and elegant to me. But if your mersona is more bubbly and playful, then I think Auri would suit nicely.

mine would be guild wars 2 ;D I have a character based on the aurie/aurora name lol And the name is because I have a arctic fox toy (go check out squishable.com but only if you want to seriously dent your tail funds) and the little one is aurora or aurie for short haha
