Hello everyone,

I’ve been looking into indoor shooting simulators recently and had a few questions. I’m curious about how realistic these systems are compared to actual shooting ranges. Specifically, how do the sensors and feedback mechanisms work?

Does the indoor shooting simulator (https://shooting-soft.com/) provide an accurate representation of recoil and target tracking? I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews, but I want to know if it's worth the investment for someone who’s looking to improve their shooting skills without going to an outdoor range constantly.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Indoor shooting simulators are great for improving fundamentals like trigger control, sight alignment, and target transitions. While most don’t simulate real recoil (unless using CO₂ or recoil-enabled training guns), they do offer solid feedback using laser or infrared sensors that track shot placement and timing. Target tracking is good for static and basic moving targets but not as dynamic as live fire. If you're looking to refine your skills without frequent range trips, it's a worthwhile investment—just understand it won’t fully replicate live fire experience, especially for recoil and stress. Systems like Mantis, Laser Ammo, or Smokeless Range are solid choices.
