Merlesque mermaids training video!

We also just got back the video that our underwater photographer put together of us mermaids doing a few swim-pasts at the end of the shoot (can you tell it was a bit crowded? haha!). Much nicer quality footage :)

Not sure how it differs from country to country, but hereabouts, unless you're really lucky somehow, every single pool is so crowded you cannot swim, you have to stand in a place just like the rest...

which is the reason I disbanded my lil' mer(waterballet) group.
It was simply impossible to train.
I'm considering moving out of the country now :p

Haha wow! Well, we hired a pool for the photoshoot of course so we didn't have to deal with members of the public - but the camera was static when taking the film so we had quite a narrow area to try to move through whilst remaining in-shot, hence the moments of mermaid crowding :) It would have been a whole other story if we'd been in a pool like those haha!

That's gorgeous! How did you get such a contrast of light? A spotlight at night? The music is so lovely, too.

It's beautiful! In my personal opinion I think the 'moments of mermaid crowding' look like you guys are members of a pod playing :cool:

Aw thanks Pearl! Haha, it's funny - normally we mess around much more when we're underwater but we were so shattered by the end of the shoot we basically just swam back and forth. Next time we won't leave the filming to the end ;)
