I FINALLY got around to finishing my mermaid video. I used just my digital camera in its waterproof case, and used hair binders to attach it to an octopus leg like tripod, and wrapped the tripod around the railings in my pool. I shot about an hours worth of footage. I set it up, swam around, and hoped for the best. I'd adjust the camera about 5 minutes later, and do it all again! I then put this video together. For how it was filmed, and what it was filmed with, I'm pleased with how it turned out :)! Let me know what you think!

Mermaid Lyrique! Lovely! You selected really great clips and merged them really well! The water's hazyness works sooo well, giving it a very ethereal feel. Did you video in a public pool? What time of day? It seemed like you were "alone". What was the blue glowing orb you carried for a while, neat effect! I am amazed you shot this yourself, and how well it went together! You did an awesome job!

great footage! Do you have a "one size fits all" waterproof case for your camera, or was it made specifically for your model? I'm trying to determine if the cases are actually going to work, and not kill me camera, or if it is better to buy a camera specifically for underwater. hm.

WillowAnne, the case I got it actually a super inexpensive one, but has worked fantastic!! Its been in numerous lakes, the ocean, and pools! It's a Dicapac case: http://www.dicapac.com/

Normal cases are in the $200 range at cheapest, but these are only like $25. I did my research before I got it because I definitely didn't want my camera getting ruined, but I watched a lot of video reviews, and everyone was happy! I have had it for a year now, and have been nothing but pleased :D! Good luck!

It looks great! Really dark and mysterious! Like we're really down in the ocean!
