It's the Cheshire Cat from that quintessentially mediocre Tim Burton film!

I would look with suspicion upon anyone who is well adjusted to our civilization.

I'm not a functional adult; I just play one in real life.

I'm curious, because I'm not like that at all and I would like to know - but what made you want to post a warning? Like, if your temper has caused problems in the past (if it has) wouldn't it be better to just word things differently without losing the essence of your message/morals/values? What benefit comes out of continually acting the same way if it means you have to warn people all the time? I feel like that is so much more work lol.

I'm fairly similar to you in that I often don't think before I say, but somehow for me with this community it's different. I'm a lot nicer and polite here, I'm just really happy and open minded. Not sure why.

My only concern is that posting a disclaimer is almost a way to give oneself permission to act out and then fall back on the previous post. That is all that rubs me the wrong way with all this, but if anything does happen, which I hope it doesn't, I know the mods will get on it.

I saw it more as a social insecurity. A hope that her personality, which she sees as flawed, perhaps unforgivably, will be accepted by a new community. It's a common thing that outsider personalities feel. It's usually just a harmless neuroticism caused by a current bout of depression and years of living on the fringes of most social communities.
