tail fundraising question

Hey guys, I'm trying to fundraise with an environmental goal. Anything I don't need for my tail is going toward lake Erie conservation. It sounded like a good idea until I realized I have no fucking clue how or where to promote this. Any ideas? :doh:

Try fundme.com (I think that's what the site is),indie gogo, or kickstarter. Don't forget to make some nice initiatives for people to donate fore( prizes or discounts or honorable me ruins or something) and to give as much info as you can in a way that'll sell your idea (ppl want to know exactly what they're donating too, and what extra money funded will do, why do you want the tail? What will you do with it? ,etc)

How about come up with an incentive for people to donate? Plan a community event, and gain some kind of legitimacy. No one will just hand over money to anyone who says they will donate it to the environment.
