I am looking for an waterproof camera, or a point and shoot and an underwater housing. I was told to get the canon S95 and a housing, but I dont know if I can spend $400 on a point and shoot. so I am looking for a suggestions?

How about LCD?

I am actually looking at these units right now trying to decide if the RePlay XD1080 is as good as the GoPro. There is nothing on-line about the newer RePlay XD1080 Cameras, the only info I have is an add handed out at a racing industry trade show ( PRI ) in Decenber. I realy like the RePlay for it's "package" but I think the GoPro might be a better value with the housing and screen ect.

I also found some info on underwater cameras here. There seems to be some reviews and plent of links!

GoPros are great for video, but they weren't really made for picture taking, so the pictures come out blurry. I prefer putting the video into Movie Maker and taking snapshots. You also have to get the LCD BacPac to be able to see what's actually in the frame. I have the Hero 3 White. Love it to death, especially because my boyfriend saved up the money for it, but I still have to spend money if I want the extra features. Mine also did not come with a memory card, I don't know if the Silver or Black do.

I've been debating on getting the hero 3 white. My question is how hard is it to extract stills from the movie maker? And how do they look? Its the one biggie that has me hesitating on buying one.
