There are a couple threads here in which the movie Blackfish is discussed. The 'Mixed Feelings About Marine Parks' and then the thread about the movie itself. I didn't want to post this in either, lest it get lost. (Of course if the mods decide to move it, I understand.)

David Kirby, the renowned investigative journalist who wrote Death At Sea World (http://deathatseaworld.com/), rebuts Sea World's attempt to discredit the documentary with their claims of dishonesty and scientific innacuracy.

Of course, one would expect Sea World to speak up, and they have every right to. They also could admit that what they're doing is wrong, not working, and change it, instead of what they do respond with. They also pretend like they care about the environment while polluting San Diego's waters (http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/news-ticker/2012/mar/20/seaworld-cited-for-exceeding-mission-bay-effluent-/) (the link is for the incident last year, which wasn't their first (http://sandiegofreepress.org/2012/10/san-diego-coastkeeper-and-seaworld-is-something-fishy-going-on/), and won't be their last, I'm sure) but that's another story.

Read Sea World's letter and a point by point rebut here http://deathatseaworld.com/?p=687&fb_source=pubv1

I've read the article. David makes some pretty valid points.

Edited- because I really had that coming across wrong, it's SW who makes claims that the movie is dishonest, not the journalist.

Also:

Sorry- I'm not sure why that glitched, but I fixed it. This link works now: http://deathatseaworld.com/?p=687&fb_source=pubv1
