My first *happy* mermaid video! (Song: Train's "Mermaid")

Here's my first *happy* mermaid video (the previous one was all airy faery, which is fine by me- but I thought kids and their parents might like this one better)! I know one of our beautiful members was invited to mermaid onstage by Train, so I went to listen to "Mermaid". I didn't quite like it on first listen- but after the second time, it started REALLY growing on me. And hey, it's nice to have a boppable mermaid song. ;)

This video involves me fin-flapping, a shell-phone, my country's flag, and Red Bull Light.

MerEmma: Aw, thank you, sweet! My eyes were on fire the rest of the day from the insane amount of chlorine in the pool, LOL. But it was kind of worth it. It's a Sony underwater camera, I think- I can't remember the exact model. But my boyf just got a GoPro, so we'll be experimenting with that. Are you thinking of investing in an underwater cam?
Mary Marine: Danke! :) It's a Magictail, actually- you can find it on www.magictail.de. It's my training tail, until I get my silicone one from Finfolk (excited!) in December. The propulsion from the monofin (Magictail makes their own monofins, they don't use Finis ones) isn't great, which is why my swimming style looks a bit different. BUT on the plus side- it's less expensive than a neoprene/silicone tail, is easier to get on, and is light enough to transport around easily! Are you thinking of getting a fabric tail? :)

Yes, I haven't had a tail before so I'll be starting with a fabric one. I checked out Magictails and I definitely like the look of them, but the monofin looks a bit fragile for the cost. Right now I'm leaning towards Fin Fun Tails since it's the most economical.

Yes, I haven't had a tail before so I'll be starting with a fabric one. I checked out Magictails and I definitely like the look of them, but the monofin looks a bit fragile for the cost. Right now I'm leaning towards Fin Fun Tails since it's the most economical.
There's also the 2 Tails, which I bought my fabric tail from. If you're worried about the monofin being fragile you definitely don't have to worry about that with these guys. I swear that thing is indestructible.
