Thought this was pretty cool. They refer to the sounds as 'signature whistles' http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2013/07/17/1304459110.abstract

I learned about this in grade 6... (which is about 12 yers ago) I thought this was already established?

i yeah. i read the first three books of that. it was a present from my grandmother. did they make more then those three? I'm not sure

Some days ago I saw a BBC long dossier about dolphins, and yesss, each of them has its own name. It's a amazing!
