I just stumbled across this article on National Geographic's website. Its about how dolphins use a distinct vocalization to identify themselves and one another. The article suggests this means that dolphins have names for one another. Scottish researchers recorded the noises and could get a specific dolphin to respond by playing back that individual's associated sound. Pretty cool.
