Okay well I've been a stalker of this site for quite some time so I figure I might as well introduce myself about now. I'm generally a weird person (not as creepy as I just made myself), quite sarcastic, and just recently graduated from high school! Yay, freedom! Now its time to make a hasty decision at what I want to do with my life. SO exciting. Well I live in the Houston area of Texas and have generally been fascinated with mermaids forever. I do not have a tail as the mockery from both my older sister and parents would be annoying and a hassle, so I'll be putting it off for other people who have the same interests.

I'm really bad at describing myself. I'm too weird to function in normal society, but with that being said because I embrace my awkwardness and am still outgoing, I can easily make new friends. We always have that one friend who just doesn't care what they say and if you don't have one...then you probably are that friend.

Now for college I plan on going part-time in Spring 2014 and double majoring in Theater - Acting, and either English (to become a teacher) or Nursing (to become either an RN or Neonatal Nurse). I also will be attending university in the summer. No social life for me.

Let's see...my favorite flower is a daisy. Favorite color is white. Favorite bird is a Dove. Basically all my favorites are centered around symbols of peace and innocence. That's what my name means as well...which I've completely forgotten to say. Hi. I'm Katy. No not Katherine. Katy. Just Katy. I'll post a picture of myself soon so you guys wont be seeing a naked slenderman in the box. I'm also obsessed with Disney...just a random fun fact there - can't really add on to that.

My aspirations is to work at least as a mermaid once. Whether it be my own personal business or at weeki wachee or even the farfetched awesomeness of being a merbella. I hope one day they may add an Eel top among their lists. I've never seen one before and I think they'd do a great take on one.

Anyway, that's about it for me. If you're curious about anything I left out, just ask me. Although I could use some help on my mer-name. I'm thinking about Everly, Aurelia, Seraphina, or Nevara. Alright. I'm done for real now. Autobots - roll out.

Hi, Katy, and welcome! I like the name Aurelia, and maybe think about a gold-ish tail for later? Or gold and white like one of the fancy Koi?

Thank you! I do quite like Aurelia as well. I think a gold tail would be perfect since the name literally means the golden one. :) I'm so excited to finally be able to part of all this!

Now THAT could totally be my bio! Nice to see another person both suffering and flourishing under the shadow of social awkwardness :)

In social situations my wife does all the talking. I just smile and nod a lot. Seems to work.

Welcome.

Thanks everyone! It's great to know there are other people here who are socially awkward. :) Sometimes people think I'm just being funny by being weird. They don't know that's all natural.
