I'm desperate for an affordable tail and have been searching everywhere. I found these two tail makers on ebay and was wondering if anyone has bought anything from them.

Sea Star Studios (http://myworld.ebay.com/seastarstudios?_trksid=p2047675.l2559)
UraMermaid (http://myworld.ebay.com/uramermaidltd?_trksid=p2047675.l2559)

What do you think of them? I'm thinking about the black tail skin, as I already have several monofins that would fit in it.

The person from Sea Star Studios is a member here on the network. The other one I am not sure. An for the price I think it is a good deal.

I have a black fabric tail from Star and it is surviving rough handling very well.

It's definitely a good deal. My only concern with the Sea Star tails is that they're so shiny. I sent a message to the other tail maker to see what their price was on custom sized tails.

So the UraMermaid custom tail prices depend on how big they are/how much extra material they need to put into them. Mine with shipping comes to $115 USD. The tail itself was $60 GBP though, if that helps. I also got the one with the foot opening which I think is slightly more money.

I had to track the seller down through facebook before I was able to get a response from her. But after that things have been going smoothly. She has all my details now and I'm just waiting for an invoice through paypal.

Fin Fun is where I got my daughters. Another option

I was considering FinFun but I don't like their fluke shape very much and I was concerned it wouldn't fit my monofin.
