I just got off the phone with Make a Wish... a little girl wants to have a mermaid experience!!!

here's what I was thinking:

a group of mermaids and mermen swimming in the ocean (or maybe at SeaWorld) where she could swim with us.

we could present her with special mergifts

OMG she must have a tail of her own!!!

any other ideas?

I would love to have some other merfolk help me out with this project.

If I lived closer (and had my tail, haha) I'd love to help. Unfortunately I'll have to leave it to the US mers!

DO NOT go to sea world it'll be so much better if everyone was at the beach.

Also I'm in Canada :| but! I COULD create an "invite from the merpeople to meet a special little girl" with my awesome art background. And she'll never know who sent it!

I'm too far north but I second the idea of a beach, or maybe even a public pool that could be rented out?

I wish I could help! Maybe we could start a charity or something to donate to this if we don't live close?

Angel- I just that you're in Santee. I grew up there. Small world. Hope you have air conditioning... :)

I agree that the beach would be so much cooler than a Sea World experience, but part of that depends on the girl's needs and what she's capable of us far as swimming goes. Don't forget there's the Mission Beach pool, a wavemaker, a lot of cool decor- it would be a good place to look into. :)I know they've been doing some remodelling to upgrade for building codes... but I don't know the status.
The Wylandt Orca painting is gorgeous, btw.

Here's a link to the Mission Beach Plunge. They might even like publicity for hosting a Make a Wish day.
