Ok. Shadowhunters. From the Mortal Instruments- City of Bones. Any of you guys out there? I've talked with Whovians, Potterheads, Tributes, just about every other fandom besides my fellow Shadowhunters. The movie is coming out in just a few weeks and I need someone to fangirl/boy with. if there's no one out there, MerNetwork is the craziest place ever. But, I still love you all :p:mermaid kiss:

What? How far are you along? There's no incest xD there's only two situations in which it's mentioned, but it's always portrayed in a negative light, and the first instance is resolved anyway. I don't think "incest" is a word that should be used to describe these books :P

That aside, yes, I've read them! I think they're great :) I just finished City of Lost Souls last night, actually. Excited for more to come!
I've read Clockwork Angel and Prince, but haven't gotten to Princess yet.

Ah! Yay! Nerd thread! I love City of bones. It hard not to pick up city of ashes because i want to see the movie before I continue the series so I don't get confused. And I have to read animal farm for school. Gr. But yes! I have Isabelle's bracelet/whip and a t shirt. Gonna go full out Shadow hunter for the movie (probably gonna draw a couple runes) and for the first day of school or second minus the runes. Lol

I just re-painted my phone case and in the bottom corner it has a bejeweled Angelic Power rune! Holy cow I cannot stop staring at it its AMAZING.

Ill be honest, I've only read the first book in the series and I'm starting on the second one. But no worries, I started the book about two days ago and I'm obsessed. Ok? OBSESSED. So consider me a Shadowhunter in training... Haha! xD

@kharris95 Not yet :O But I totally will! And ohmygosh Magnus Bane looks AMAZING!!!!! I am IN LOVE with the casting for him. So far I like how everyone looks except for Jace. Honestly, I am really disappointed in the casting for him :'(

I'm assuming you're talking about the happenings in the second book, which I will neglect to go into detail about here since not everyone is up to there yet. Let me reassure you - your fears are needless. Wanting to ask your library to get rid of a series because you didn't read far enough (or even look up the plot online, if you wanted to be reassured) to discover you had nothing to worry about, is taking it a bit far I think xD

I really recommend you give the books another go! They've been one of my favourite series recently, out of all the YA fiction trash that has been coming out over the last few years.

I actually don't mind Jace, though I keep hearing from others how disappointed they were. I'm of the opinion that if Cassandra Clare thinks so highly of him, then I'm happy. It's her character, after all. She says he and Clary have amazing chemistry on screen, and that he's really committed to bringing out the essence of who Jace is in his performance. So, I think he'll be great! :)

I know that Alex Pettyfer was the preferred actor to play Jace, but he didnt take it. It took me a while to accept the guy who does play him, but he's grown on me. I also remember seeing a clip from one of the trailer's and Clary is running into Simon's arms, giving him a hug and in the background you see Jace and my god he just looks crushed/jealous. I remember not liking Lily Collins as Clary, but maybe it was the fact that her hair wasn't even that red. It had a dark red tint to it and I know they probably dyed it, but...it just bugged me. However, once again...it's grown on me and it'll be interesting to see. I'm so excited to see Lena Headey as Clary's mom though!

I'm so excited too! I can't wait just to see if they keep everything the same! No, I've only read City of Bones, I don't want to confuse myself before the movie so I remember if they keep stuff the same. And I have to read and annotate and answer questions for Animal Farm for school. Ugg!
