I have started a Facebook group called "Mermaids Against Chicken Of The Sea" after it has come to my attention that Greenpeace is calling for a boycott of the company due to their unsustainable, destructive fishing practice. I thought the group just might catch the corporation's attention, considering that their mascot has always been a mermaid and their jingle has proclaimed for decades how much mermaids love their tuna, but hopefully that isn't true for most of us. Please considering joining the group, signing Greenpeace's petition, and stop buying Chicken of the Sea tuna.

Also, you know what would be cool? Video or pictures of different mermaids in-tail holding up signs. "Mermaids against Chicken of the Sea" "Chicken of The Sea is hurting our oceans" ect ect. Could make it into a slide show. If we did video could have a mermaid say a sentence or two about what's going on with this and splice the pieces together to make it into one video.

That would be absolutely awesome, WM! I also encourage you all to join the public FB group I started. I wanted the group to sort of work as a mini-petition of its own to show COTS what "real" mermaids actually think of them and their practices. So far I have 13 members, and there's ALWAYS room for more! I encourage anyone who wishes to do so to post anti-COTS artwork, photos, videos, etc. in the group as well as on your own FB page, YouTube channel, DeviantArt account, or anywhere else you want to.
