Any Florida mers wanna meet before the summer ends?

I have had plenty of swims in my tail, but none with other mers! It would be nice to meet another mer anyway, seeing as how work kept me from attending merpalooza. ;_; What do you guys think?

I was hoping you guys would know a good place to meet as I'm fairly new to the Florida area. Any dates in mind? Alexander springs isn't too far out of my way. A 2 hour drive isnt bad if its on a weekend. :)

Alexander Springs is great because it has a large swimming area with lots of sandy shallows as well as a nice, deep, open boil. There are 2 sets of stairs as well as some grassy areas at the water's edge where you can put on your tail. I'm typically free on weekends, although my schedule may change around a bit...September and October especially. Always free on Fridays at this point.

Alexander was perfect in my opinion. And on the Friday we went, there was like no one there. Just two divers and one little girl? And it has a little bit of everything there. Just like Wavy said. And my schedule is the same as Wavy's. However, I'll confirm that more as college begins again.

And we went in, what September? I think pretty much any Friday after this point in August (being that most of the kiddos have gone back to school) would be pretty quiet like that.

I know Wavy :\ I feel like I'm in such a pickle. Because I REALLY wanted to see Mumford and Sons (And Fun. is there too!) And the fact that we can sit right by the venue (which is outdoors) we can listen for free. But, i feel like my friend is exaggerating how close it is to the venue and then I'll get there and all I'll hear is just noise. Then I'll be like "I wish I went to the meet up..."

But then, I promised my friends I'd be there a month ago. And I feel like backing out on them will be a jerk move because they're looking forward to this. And I do want to spend time with them, as long as you know we can actually hear the bands nicely.

Well that's definitely a hard decision to make, but I guess either way you are almost guaranteed a good time :) Your GoPro shots are very cool! That camera's phtotos always have such an interesting perspective :)

Just an FYI, we have another mer, Andrea, and her daughter, Alexia, joining us for about an hour. They can only stay til about 1:15 at the latest. She's a jewelry maker from Ormond Beach - makes mermaid jewelry!!! - and her daughter has a couple of tails I think. Im Home!...actually got home at 430p.
