I will make you a silicon tail!

My boyfriend and I have decided to make one tail for someone else!

I would need you to fully understand that this would only be my 4th tail, and it won't be totally perfect; furthermore I have never made a tail for anyone else. I want to practice, but I can't afford to keep making them for myself :)

That said I am confident I can make a beautiful, functional, durable tail.


This coming Wednesday I am headed to Spain. I get back the 4th of September, and I can start this project soon thereafter.



I could start your tail as soon as I got back provided I can order materials before I go. Otherwise I'll have to order when I get back (which is no big deal, really).


I think it will take us no more than 3 weeks start to finish. Possibly faster. But I can't guarantee anything. My boyfriend and I are building a new tail at the moment and it's going much faster than our last one.


I can make it for you for the cost of materials (which includes a Finis monofin built in), or you can send me a monofin (depending on the material it is made out of since silicon will not harden next to certain other materials), and I can take that cost out of materials. This doesn't include the cost of shipping it to you- we have no idea what that will be.

We will never sell a tail for cost again, so this is a one-time thing. Moving forward, we will factor in our labor costs incrementally, until we are making a reasonable profit (but there's really no need for a silicone tail to cost more than $2,000 (maybe if you wanted a custom sculpt of the fins rather than the molds currently made).


Also, Jason owns a candy company and I own an event staffing agency- we're basically customer service ninjas.

- 100% Platinum Cure silicone (with a thin embedded mesh to make sure it doesn't tear)
- made to fit you as best we can (again, you're our first custom tail!)
- airbrushed to your specifications
- really fun to swim in
- out of control opalescent and glittery!

What if I sent you a plain, tinted silicone fluke with a monofin already inside it?
Because my hubby wants a tail, and it has a very unique fluke shape to it. I was planning on making the fluke myself and sending it to a maker to have them make a body for it, attach it, paint it, add fins, etc.
If you'd be willing, I would rather pick someone in the community that's sort of new, but that I know is good.

This way you do t have to email me to ask :)

A tail costs me between $500 - $1,000 depending on size, monofin (or lack of), side/dorsal fins and paint job.
The average tail that people have been enquiring about is around $750.
