Hello!
I'm Kuda de la Mer, coming to you live from Midwest USA! Feel free to call me Kuda!
I'm 25/m, new to this whole mermaiding thing and my land-faring wife thinks I'm crazy for it. :D
I've always been lured by mermaids, but it wasn't until recently when I saw videos, images and read tails about becoming a merman myself! I'm sure there are more mermaids than mermen out there, so i'm hoping to find enough info and support here on this topic. I don't yet own any tails, fins, or even mer- art.

I just love how sleek a mermaid or merman looks with a tail, flying through the water. I recently taught myself how to swim with both feet together, in preparation for getting my first monofin.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Some of my hobbies include... doing everything! I'm really handy and a jack-of-all-trades, so to speak. As of late, I've taken up carpentry, electrical, landscaping and engine repairs with my 'new' home and car... I work in IT during the day and run a small IT business on the side.

I'd have to say that the thing that draws me to become a merman is that i've always been comfortable in water i can stand up in... but not so much in water over my head. They say living starts at the edge of your comfort zone (and beyond), so I'm looking to get more comfortable with waters and swimming, mainly. Also, I find the idea of having a fin/tail pretty cool, so that's another motivation of mine. I've always been sci-fi oriented and this isn't too far off, imo.
