Best Paint to Use on Silicone

What is the best paint or pigment to use for painting a silicone tail? I've heard of different powder pigments being used but I haven't found any with a large range of colors that I can mix and play with. What have you guys used in the past?

Agreed. It's time for a sticky official thread sort of thingy. Especially one that starts off by explaining you don't paint silicone... It would save a lot of people a lot of confusion.
