One day, after watching a video about the history of the Starbucks logo, I decided to buy a bottled Starbucks drink. They come in glass bottles, and after I was finished, I started thinking like the crafty, re-using everything mermaid I am... I know glass water bottles have gotten rather popular as of late, since they seem to be the most eco-friendly as well as healthy-for-you option. I've been wanting to get one for a while, but they can be pretty pricey.
So I decided to make myself a recycled, upcycled mermaid water bottle:
14273 14274
14275
With alternate deco cap for gigs and the like:
14276 14277
Recycled sari silk yarn (the purchase of which supports working women in India), freeform crochet cover. Buttons are vintage "pearl" buttons (I suspect they may be mother-of-pearl). Brass rings are for a carrying strap/belt strap, and are from an old belt scrapped for parts.
What do you mers think? I'll be making up a bunch more for my upcoming "sale to benefit my tail" :D
