I'm just starting Season 3 of H2O on Amazon Prime (free streaming), and I am totally addicted. I'm so glad there's a related series (Mako Mermaids) to inhabit next. I hope this franchise becomes the Doctor Who of mermaid TV and goes on forever!

Oh yeah, I was wondering if this was actually going to be a thing or not.

Are the character designs getting to anyone else, or is that just me?

Eeeh, I will probably not watch it. It is too childish for my taste.

Also, the thing that bothers me the most is the depiction of sharks and eels are "evil". And it bothers me for the same reason that in some children stories wolves are "evil". Wolves have been hunted down for years, and even know, that we know about their nature and customs, people still describe wolves as "vicious". Sharks are killed sometimes out of fear, when it is well know that for the most part sharks won't attack people as often as they are said to.

Yeah, I'm with Talia and Pearlie about the cartoon version. First, why do it??? The original series is a fabulous family show. Second, I CAN'T STAND cgi'd, talking animals. Third, generations of predator vilification have contributed hugely to the decline of wolves, sharks, and other apex species.

Gonna pass on the H2O cartoon remake.

The cartoon version doesn't sound like they have Aussie accents. To me they sounded American. So that's why I thought it was an American spin-off.

Exactly, wasn't it just a year or so ago when they finally let the USA see H2O for the first time on tv. I couldn't even find it on American DVD online. They had it in UK DVD but you can't play those on American DVD players

I used to watch it on Nickelodeon when I was eight though, and I'm in the USA :o

uurrrrgh.
That's like, H2O for toddlers.
The Disney version.
Probably done to make it more appealing to Americans.

They've redone several of the greatest movies ever made so they were more "American" (including movies that have nothing to do with the US, at that), also cut out fantastic soundtracks and replaced it with "less European sounding music", and so on.

Ye, have fun with that, dudes.
I'll pass.

What is a European soundtrack? Did you know that we had so many Germans moving inyo the USA that it was the first time the US made an imagration law. The number of nordic and baltic are crazy. Russian have entire communities in the northwest US.
So what music?
P.S. I say this in fun!

They made a complete new soundtrack for the US release of Polanski's "Fearless Vampire Hunters", because Komeda's original didn't sound "american enough".
The same was done to many other movies and musicals as well.

I've also noticed some musical shows that are loved in the US don't go well in Europe, and vice versa.

That's just on the side though.
H2O is an australian show, and I prefer to hear that when I see it.

Don't know if anyone mentioned but apparently the plot of season 3 was announced. Here it is:
Series 3 (2016)
When Chinese mermaid Weilan accidentally releases a water dragon, she flees to Mako Island with the creature in pursuit. Mermaids Odina, Mimmi and Sirena must defend Mako Island and the Gold Coast from destruction.

whaaaaaat?!
Asian water dragons are the embodiment of water and aquatic environment.
If anything, they defend it. Mostly against human destruction.

Something the so-called mermaids could learn from, especially with newer developments in Australian waters :p

If they muck up an asian water dragon with the western perception of "lolevil", I'm going to be extremely displeased.

This seems pretty interesting to me - at least it isn't the same "EVERYONE IS A MERMAID/MERMAN" song and dance. Although I wonder if/where Zac, Camden (was that his name? I'm pretty sure that was his name), and this new merman Erik come into play with this dragon. Fins crossed that they do it all justice! I'm just excited for season 2, I wonder when it'll be released to Netflix...

^^I have hoped for another mythological water creature to show up since H2O third season, where I was like "OMG Leviathan!!" when the water tentacle first appeared.

Of course, the thought of a waterdragon being an antagonist never crossed my mind :p

SeaMansa
12-31-2014, 12:42 AM
Excuse me if i am ranting but....
I find it odd there is no mention of Zac for the third season. He's the star!! I hope they don't just do away with him in the second season by having him and Evie swim off to live happily ever after and start their own pod ( *winks seductively* ;)) I would be very disappointed. There aren't many shows or movies about Mermen, but a lot with mermaids. And since merman are apparently some hidden/endangered/extinct species even by mermaid standards makes me very uneasy. I wasn't that much a fan of the original H20 but loved Mako. If they take Zac away, then I am slightly afraid this show would become basically another H20 aka Hydrogen Peroxide (get it? GET IT? Because it would be H202 :P). I already am slightly iffy about season 2 because they replaced Lyla and Nixie (and I wanted Lyla and Zac to be together soooo badly. I don't like Evvie that much) and now it seems the two new mermaids are here to stay. I hope we get Lyla and Nixie back anyway :/ Anyway, the whole concept of the water dragon sounds extremely interesting and HARDCORE. I hope the CGI is fantastic, or even better, I hope they don't use CGI at all and go old school with props and puppets and animatronics. Also, I bet a million clams the dragon takes on human form.

The Chinese mermaid better have a different type of tail and tail color otherwise I'm going to be slightly ticked off!

Echidna
12-31-2014, 02:20 AM
yea, I dislike the show's tendency to build up a character, just to flush it down next season.
It happened to Emma, Ash, and Charlotte in H2O, and none of them is mentioned again after the first sentence of the third season.
We'll see how it goes for Mako, but I doubt it'll be much different in that regard.

yes, YES, and YES!!!
Dragons changing into human form is one of the basics in folklore.

I've always, always wanted to see a movie with a real asian dragon (there are loads of movies with western dumb evil lizard style ones, but none of the eastern kind).
The only one I've managed to find is an anime (Spirited away).

If they'd do something like that, it's going to be the most amazing thing ever.

How about a red tail with golden patterns, qi-pao style :p

I'd like any variation from that ugly drab yellow-orange they have for all the prior mermaids.

Kaila Mermaid
12-31-2014, 03:20 PM
Regional tail colors would make more sense tbh. I've only seen the first half of season one (still) and will be VERY confused if they do away with Zac. Wtf? He's the REASON FOR THIS WHOLE SERIES

SeaMansa
12-31-2014, 06:33 PM
Not only a different tail color, but I think a different tail design would also be kind of cool. We know are current cast are mermaids from the South Atlantic (as said by Rita, I believe.) Maybe mermaids from all around the world look different in color and fin shape. Zac's tail is a differnent color and design. I'd love if they explored that. We could see Chinese mers, African mers, indian mers, merfolk from all around the world :D

Mermaid Jaffa

I think the ship sailed with different tail designs when Bella didn't have a different tail design- like different moon pools made different tails. The idea of the Chinese mermaid is cool because at least she's not totally blonde and blue-eyed and caucasian.

Not the biggest fan of the merman are more powerful than mermaids things. I liked the girl power of H2O but oh well. Now just have to wait for the second half of the season to come out.

Also, Eric... he's rather dreamy.

I watched two episodes of Season 2 just now. Has anyone noticed the very miniscule differences in tail this seasons? Idk if its because Ondina and Mimmi are Nothern mermaids but their tails seem to be lighter and slightly less golden and the part of their tail that leads to the fluke is different than what we have seen on Lyla, Nixie, and whats her face. I could be wrong but it seems that way to me. Anyway, this season is really good so far. Much better in quality, as in effects. I like it.
I feel they shouldn't have revealed Erik has a merman BEFORE the series came out -__- it would have made it much more interesting to not know but even if u weren't following the behind the scenes and trailers, the opening theme shows you so I felt that a down point for this. But as usual, I love this show and cant wait to see the rest of it. Also, there is only one half up? I have only watched the first 2 but thought all the episodes of the entire season would be up...?

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-17-2015, 11:09 PM
I must be a bit dumb, cause I totally didn't know Erik was a merman before watching the reveal ep (though, I suspected it due to cues in earlier episodes)

I'm excited to find out more about mermaid and merman culture and society. So if a mermaid has a son, they are raised by humans on land? How does this affect their community compared to the insular pods of the mermaids? A few answers lead to so many more questions! Looking forward to the next installment.

Parthenogenesis is my guess. :p

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-18-2015, 08:17 PM
Agreed. Parthenogenesis is the theory I'm running with. Though, that only ever results in female offspring, so clearly some mermaids are having quickies with either landsmen or mermen. Unless there's a portion of the mermaid community that are hermaphrodites and capable of fertilizing eggs of other mermaids (It's pretty wild mass guessing at this point, since I doubt they'll address this in the show)

I'm also assuming by the word "hatchling" that these mermaids hatch from eggs, which is an interesting thought.

Mermaid Jaffa
02-19-2015, 02:39 AM
Two words.
Sailors and lifeguards. Cute ones of course! Though ugly ones would hatch up sea hags...

Echidna
02-19-2015, 08:59 AM
Well, as in the H2O universe anyone who drops into a moonpool during the full moon becomes a merperson, it's possible the few mermen here and there were begotten in this way.

That would make sense too as they are considered enemies (as in, unnaturally turned humans vs normally hatched mermaids).

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-19-2015, 01:13 PM
It's been established that at least one of the mermen in Mako Mermaids is naturally born, as opposed to turned in the moon pool. So it is canon that mermaids are capable of having sons, somehow. And apparently, mermen are raised in human foster families. Not sure if this purely applies to mermaid-born ones, or if the mermen have a way of propagating independently of the mermaids as well.

MarkF
02-19-2015, 01:46 PM

I'm guessing Eric is going to be the "villian" in this season; unfortunate because damn is that voice (and face and body) dreamy.

SPOILER BELOW:

Here is the summary for the third season if anyone is interested: Weilan, a teenage Chinese mermaid, discovers a mysterious relic underwater and releases a terrifying water dragon. Weilan flees to Mako for sanctuary but the dragon follows. When the fearsome creature threatens not only the Mako pod but the Gold Coast, Ondina, Mimmi and Sirena must find a way to destroy the dragon before it destroys all that they have worked so hard to save.

It's from this site: http://www.screenaustralia.gov.au/find-a-film/detail.aspx?tid=33791

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-19-2015, 04:00 PM
Darn. I'm really hoping that Erik isn't the villian, though, I won't be surprised if he is. I was just really hoping they could work through the "mermen are inherently evil" and the chasm between mermaids and mermen could start to close, bringing harmony between the two genders/species.

. . . I may be a bit biased.

Mermaid Sirenia

Having recently finished the first part season 2, I have to say I enjoyed it a lot more than season one. Probably from the lack of love triangle this season so far.
However, like the question posed before about how to the merpeople reproduce, my wife and I have been bouncing around questions and possible answers for several of the mysteries from the show.

For example:

27569
27570

Spoilers:

Assuming Evie's mom is a mermaid, and Zac's big reveal does that mean the magic hot-tub only gives tails to those who have mer-genes?
Or, when the characters transform, where does their other form go? Who dries their wet clothes while they are transformed? Why is the moon inherently magical? Are they all just aliens? etc...

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-20-2015, 05:48 PM
I was working with the theory that human girls can be turned by the moon pool, but not human boys. (who knows why, but that would tie in canon from both series)

As for the clothes thing, I just throw up my hands and go "eh, it's a kids show they couldn't have naked actors running about because their clothing came off when they turned into a mermaid" (this is the only way I justify those tops, too)

There's a long history of the moon being considered magical or mystical in mythology, especially the full moon. Considering the power the moon has over the world's oceans, I guess I can see it being a prominent part of mermaid myth and magic.

I love seeing Issy Durant playing a Mermaid, she was one of my fave characters on Dance Academy, another fave show of mine and her acting is great. I just finished the first 13 episodes of the season 2 thanks to the French uploaders who added subtitles.

I officially dislike Zac very much.
This guy is an asshole and he's a total hypocrite too. I was shocked by his attitude at the end of the 13th episode.
I'm actually rather fond of Evie.

Season 2 is definitely better than season 2. The new girls think much better and act more mature than the previous girls (Sirena aside).

I agree. Zach is just unrealistically pigheaded and stubborn. He is a very unlikable and unrelatable character because of it.

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-25-2015, 07:09 PM
Huh. I found myself quite fond of Zach. I love how enthusiastic he is about being a merman, good change from the "woe as me" attitude we sometimes got from other humans-turned-merfolk. I also really appreciate how drama-free his relationship with Evie is.

For his meltdown at the finale, while he came off as a total arse, I dunno I kinda understood it. There's a lot of stress in that moment, to find out that one is adopted (and his parents never told him for what 17, 18 years?) And the mermaids often come off as rather controlling, telling him he can't do this or that. They open the season trying to turn him into a human, even. And now one wants to have sibling relationship? That's a lot of throw at a guy.

I have hope that his attitude will balance out with some time and the next season.

(Disclaimer: my opinions are my own, I realize that not everyone shares them and it's no big if other people dislike Zach. Just trying to put in my 2 cents about how I feel about the character)

Mermaid Jaffa

I've just watched the second episode...

I'm really disappointed to find out the Northern Pod mers have the same tail coloring as Sirena. I don't like it one bit that mermaids can only have orange tails and blue tails for merman. I would've thought that there'd be more variety in tail colors, especially among mers from different parts of the ocean.

Triton-Mahtlinnie
02-25-2015, 10:29 PM
Agreed. Not sure why all the mermaids have the same color tails, considering each one is custom built to fit a certain actress. For the sake of homogeny, marketability, production costs, being recognizable? I just don't know. Feels like lazy costume design to me. Even if, say, the entire "species" has the same coloring, there could still be variation between individuals.

The most annoying thing to me is that I cannot tell any of the girl characters apart. Maybe because I'm face-blind and normally tell people apart by clothing, hairstyle, voice, and ethnicity. so, when they're in the water and they all have the same tails/top, and their hair is wet so it all looks the same, I'm quite lost.

It was really bad season three of H2O when all the leads were blonde. Thank god they at least got a black-haired actress to play the northern mermaid so I can at least remember who one of them is.

Me too Ed! The only way I can tell them apart underwater, is look for their hair color!

She must be a token dark haired mermaid, as I remember Nixie was a dark hair girl too.

I just asked the same question on their fb page.

Here's what I wrote...
"Why do all the mermaids have the same color tails? I would've thought mermaids from different regions have a variety of colors that would differentiate them from each other. We on Mernetwork, hope that the Chinese mermaid will have at least a different type of tail style and tail colors."

The usual H2O colour chart goes like this:

-2 blondes and one brunette mermaid
-one blond and one brunette dude
-a redhead as antagonist

I bet sooner or later, the evil redhead will show up in Mako too. :p

It wouldn't be too hard to put differences with the same base color ( and seriously give the Asian mer on the council a different tail at least) stripes, freckles, spots, scale tattoos

ye, it doesn't make sense.
So much money and work goes into making these tails, why not spruce them up a little?

It's not like they can re-use them again and again for different actors so they all have to look the same.

I noticed that too and I think I've figure it out from looking at photos of dolphins. If you look at pictures of dolphin/whale tails from a perfect side on angle, you will actually see a large muscle mass that connects to the underside of the tail providing the powerful up and down motion. I think they emphasized it on the mermen tails to suggest strength whereas the girls tails are a bit more streamline and delicate.

I'm frustrated with the lack of variety between the tails but does anyone think that their undersides have gotten even lighter as the series went on? Like I feel like they used to be all dark gold, then they moved onto orangey gold to lighter gold and now they have a gradient from orange to white...

Yes, I noticed that too.
Youtube commenters complained about how the tails were "uglier than before and all white".

I'm a fan of white tails, but it seems to me they meticulously painted the first tails, then gradually slacked off as there were new and more mermaids.

In the moonpool group shots, all the tails appear very pale in Mako season 2.

I read somewhere that the Mako series had changes to the suits which reduced weight and I'm guessing cost.
They have more swimming shots, and they looks real. I'm sure they still tow them in some shots although It looks like they've been practicing.

Jake and Erics gotta be new. Mako is their big hit, relative to the cost of production a paint and some new fins can't be that much.

The best way to judge when the second half the season will come out will be to follow it's schedule in Australia. Right now I think they're on the 6 episode so once the 13th episode has aired, I assume they will release the second half.

I'd say we have about a month left. If they air one episode a week, we are on episode 9 right now in Australia. I expect they will wait until they have all completely aired just like they did last time. I would expect a May or June air date for the second half of season 2.

I just noticed an issue I think of season 2 while re-watching season one...Evie keeps mentioning working it out with Cam and that it couldn't have been that bad. But at the end of season 2 during the major betrayal, she was slightly involved (helped Zac figure out the betrayal) and it seems like he would've told her by that point what Cam did.

Still though, it's a children's show, where all the conflicts are caused by miscommunication and failure to talk about their problems. Lol. :P

To be honest I have NEVER liked the design of any of the H20 style tails. I feel like when you extend a tail that much and make it fat to hide the heels then you need a BIG fluke to balance it out. The flukes have always looked to small to me, though I am sure they are huge in person. It just gave it a sort of "freshwater fish" feel to me. I like the extra length and I like the hidden heels, but I just don't like the flukes.

I agree. I have always thought their tails were ugly, bulky, not exotic...just eeeech. They didn't even bother to blend the waistline and those hideous tops the girls wear look like meat bras. They should have hired Raven to create them and make each one more individual to the mermaid or merman. She would have done a much more flattering job.

I'm just gonna pop in here quickly, de-rail the topic slightly and then leave, SeaMonkey please don't think I'm trying to attack, insult or belittle you at all because that's not my intention, I'm just trying to offer a small piece of advice, since making a lot of multiple short, one line posts all in a row may be considered spamming the thread (and I've seen you do it on a couple of threads now) and I'm not sure if that is against the rules of the Mer-Network or not, but it is on some forum sites. Instead of making another post directly after one you've already made, maybe consider just editing the original/ previous/ first post with the 'edit' button which is located beneath any post you make :)

I used to double post when I started here, and I understand that its easier just to type what you wanted to say in the quick reply box instead of going to edit. Trust me, I know, especially when you just need to change a word, and it takes forever to save it. It's a lot easier to just make a bunch of short one line posts everytime you want to add something than edit the original, but making multiple short posts in a row, can be considered spamming, and in the worst case scenario, could end up with you getting banned (though I 'm sure that won't happen :) ) Just some advice, I'm not trying to attack or insult you here, we all make mistakes. I cannot say for sure as I haven't seen the second season yet (have to wait for youtube upload or DVD release), but it could be like with some reptiles:

Females lay eggs, which will always hatch into females if they're not fertilized.
(natural Mako procreation)

If fertilization happens (with human males?), the hatchling is always male.
(unnatural and shunned Mako procreation.)

That probably also means the mermen are hybrids (possess landform from birth onward), grow up on land, don't have much interaction with "natural" mermaids, and thus are regarded as aberrations.

Okay... So Im just going to ask it:
How the *bleep* are the merpeople breeding?? Okay, so according to Erik the mermen have been procreating on land which either means 1) they are literally mating with eachother and birthing more mermen OR 2) they are breeding with human females which seems more likely. HOWEVER if it is the latter, doesn't that mean the mermaids would haveto breed with human men to birth more mermaids? Judging by how anti-human they are, I don't think this is the case at all, so for now I am going to go with either the merpeople can procreate with either gender or...there is some kind of...moon magic going on...
Has anyone else thought about this?

I swear I watched the episode just the other day and saw her in a tail when she crawled up on the rocks to hide from the boys on the beach, I was watching the episode to try and figure out if they had made her a tail (an extended tail on a young kid sounds really difficult though and a swimming scene with it sounds tough) but I can't prove it as I'm too lazy to look it up on Netflix. I found a video clip of someone compiling Neppy's scenes in the episode, but that had no tail.

Honestly, I am just to going to stay with the assumption that mermen mate with mermen and leave the babies on doorsteps or something and mermaids mate with mermaids because its easier to grasp.

The only way this could even remotely be possible would be if the merpeople were all hermaphrodites.

Maybe they didn't think it through at all beforehand and make up stuff as they go along.
In the end, it might all not make sense at all, which would be a disappointment, but the story isn't that well written anyway if you're honest :p

Yeah. I like to agree with Echidna's theory, but this whole topic is just confusing. Maybe a female lays eggs, maybe 20 or so, and they are all females, except for a few rare cases, where there is a male. This male is then abandoned. and somehow finds a human family to live with, through something like washing up on the beach or something, with legs. Don't ask me how. :$

Perhaps. after the war of merman and mermaids. I don't think that the look was because it was economical, these are likely union effects people. Looking at the glueing of the individual scales on and the color I believe they were trying to do a splash tail, to avoid the 6 to 8 hour costuming time they used a zipper back "keeping the plastic scales from popping off" and it just came out wrong. All the design mistakes would have been in H2o and they are living with it.
Most diffenently many of our tailors could have blown those tails away. For movie quality the scales need to move, that's why the glue on scales. PearlieMae's scales technique would have been better.

The blonde is Emma, the one with blue/black hair is Cleo, and the Red head is Ricki

29980

Here's human with Louis....

They can talk underwater now and the animals can talk back.

And Cleo's not afraid of the water... I just finished the first episode and they have all their powers, Emma as mourned and seemingly got over the whole no swim team stuff, Louis knows about them being mermaids, and the reason they went out to Mako is so Cleo could get more familiarized with the local wildlife in the water for her interview. So she's working at the marina now as well.

They also have their powers and are working on aiming them underwater.

End of episode 1.

Why would one remake a real series as animated at all?

Usually it's the other way around, and the anim version was only made because they didn't have the effects to make a real version possible.

Hmmmm I am Predicting that if Serena isn't in season 3 and mimi, odina, zac and the newer mermaid. perhaps this may have something to do with zac and mimi.. we all know that Narissa was a powerful mermaid, so perhaps zac and mimi are as well. Perhaps they will have to come together to defeat the water dragon that the newer mermaid accidentally unleashes. they may hold the key... it could be that zac and mimi get real close like siblings should be. who knows, but i can't wait to see the other half. a recap is in order i think.

Yeah, I don't think you're going to find any break-thru biological answers there!

:D

Great theory :)

I just loved the tail but wish they were more efficient as far as speed and functionality goes. They seemed too heavy to maneuver in. Even simple things seemed hard/ impossible. E.I why they had different shots and angles.
But shoot I'd jump on a chance to get a tail like that in a heart beat even with those flaws haha and that gap doe!!

Welcome to Mernetwork! I need to watch H2O I have only watched Mako Mermaids. I liked Mako Mermaids a lot and noticed everyone has said H2O is better so I definitely need to see it!

@ Imogen Finnly - I always think they could have just saved money and probably time by just having regular silicone tails. Even with 'regular' silicone tails they could have still made them look different with markings and unique fin shapes.

I agree I would freak out if I had the chance to get in one of those tails! Then I would probably freak out again because it would probably be weird to swim in.

Could be, but I can't imagine that when they are now even trying out new concepts with shows with weekly episode updates. Maybe they were afraid it wouldn't be visible enough. Still confusing when this doesn't match what's going to air on TV, but hey maybe it's going to be relabelled everywhere else now too :D
This reminds me of classic Dr. Who where Netflix "seasons" just didn't make any sense like season 4 was actually season 12 and so on...

Okay, but that's just new Who so it's okay. Netflix only has a handful of classic "stories" but puts them into strange "seasons" 1-18. Season 2 contains stuff from season 6 for example. Pure chaos :D

I think Netflix probably did that to draw attention. I don't have TV, just Netflix, so I would not have understood that there was more to season 2 without the internet. As for classic Who, many of the episodes were destroyed over the years. I think Netflix is just doing their best to create a semblance of order in a pretty crazily laid out show. Better than making no seasons at all and my king it hard to scroll, they probably thought.

I was quite disappointed when I saw Mako after H2O because it has no ties to H2O whatsoever, like a completely different world. Mermaid councils, out of a sudden real vs made mermaids, et.c.
Although the ideas are cute too (pods and so on).
I also found the acting to be poor in comparison (but still good enough).
My little cousin likes Mako better, but I guess that's more because of the stories.

part of the plot for season 3 is they have to try and save the gold Coast and Mako island from the water dragon. perhaps this dragon gets the mermaids of H20's attention. Perhaps they could just turn up... who knows.. but i do think that it would be great to see the girls help in some sort of way.... just bring them back to the last season ever.

if they are bought back for the series... hypothetically.... it will have something to do with the girls powers.... remember Cleo, Ricki, Emma and Bella all have one individual power not like the others. think back to the storm conjure...

Ok so Season 3 Mako Mermaids spoilers ahead, seriously. And some wild guesses/fangirling

First things first, that flashback when Zaks parents were telling him about the day they found him. Didn't they wonder why a naked baby was wrapped in seaweed? 'cause he was. And OMG I totally want them to have a current relationship with Nerissa so they have been like putting yearly pictures into bottles and tossing them into the sea for her. I SO want them in on the secret it makes my brain itch.
In the episode with the Canadian mermaid (*snort* totally got a mental image of Raina luring kayakers to their doom) If Mimmi was immune to the song then why couldn't Zak be immune as well? They're technically both from a Northern Pod. and why oh why did they do that to Sirena? I know she was under an enchantment but she was full on "there is no Dana, there is only Zuul"

A personal question, one that they will probably never answer in a kids show, what would happen if a mermaid oh, say, froze someone's blood? or pulled all the liquid from their bodies like Magneto and that guard in X-Men 2

It's quite confusing because season 1 had also two 13-episode parts and both of them were called season 1 on Netflix.

Oh! Thanks. I must have missed that post. I kind of figured that it was different, since IMDB lists 2x the number of episodes that Netflix has for each season. :sweat drop:
