I'm currently making my first partial silicone tail and so far it's going extremely well. I love the process and I'm really enjoying myself. I was wondering what you guys thought about partial silicone tails that went for around $500-700. I'm doing a neoprene base with dragon skin silicone scales. The scales are similar to the scales of a merbella's tail on one of her basic tails. Would anyone be interested in buying a tail like this? I will definitely post pictures of how my tail is going and eventually have swimming videos and lots of pictures. I'll post a link to another thread of my tail process in the next few days.

Let me know what you guys think about this!

please don't take this the wrong way, but I think it's very important to test the hell out of your product and make a few before selling them to the public. Too many new tail makers don't see problems that come with 1 or 2 swims, or over estimate the quality of their materials etc.

Raina, I totally agree. I don't want to sell anything to anyone without being sure that it is a quality product and will last. I will be testing my tail a lot once it is done and if it fails, I won't hesitate to make more and more before putting my tails on the market. I've also been experimenting for quite some time with neoprene, different paints, and different silicone. I've made tails before but this is the first of this quality and precision. Everyone has to start somewhere, right?

That sounds great! Right now I can't buy a tail but maybe in a few months to a year, so I'm considering lots of tail makers and this would be an awesome option! I can't really afford the professional expensive ones and this would be awesome. Would they be completely custom? And pictures would be lovely :)
