One of my tails has shown up on Ebay. A customer has fallen on hard times, and must part with her tail. I can not change the size of this tail, nor the color. The Lifetime Maintenance Policy will carry over to the new owner.

I feel so bad for her. She can't find a single place where she lives to help her swim and she even made presentations for these people. :(

The YMCA's all over the world are being very strange regarding mermaids/freedivers. My local pool is owned by the YMCA and until LAST WEEK they allowed myself and other divers to freedive/swim in monofins and tails, but since then they've said no. Its terribly frustrating :( and its worse that this mermaid cant find a single place to swim!!!

yes the YMCA here just told me they wont allow mermaids either, which previously they told me they would. There may be a new policy or something.
I shared this on the mernet fb btw

That's extremely unfortunate :\ It's a beautiful tail too. I hope it goes to a good home.
Sadly, it is a policy a lot of pools are picking up. The waterpark I work with never has allowed monofins. It's dangerous for the company/owner to allow people to bind their legs together and swim. It's just a lawsuit waiting to happen with them. I wish they could maybe have gotten waivers for people who do this. To have them sign off that the pool is not responsible for injuries and what not.

YMCA's mainly but other pools do it as well. Best thing to do is to check with the owner of the pool, professional explain your tail, and get permission.

If you have performance insurance then they might let you. My boss is setting me up with magician/escapist insurance when I make my final tail.

she already investigated that.
Every pool in NS lets us swim except the YMCA and at first they said if we had liability insurance then we could, then they changed their minds and said they don't want outside groups making money through the YMCA. Perhaps it effects their funding or something.
