We are selling the pink tail!

These are my measurements:

waist 31hips 40
knees 22
Ankles 13.5
waist to floor 38
waist to knees 22

This tail is a tiny bit short and a tiny bit big on me.

I won't be able to ship for two weeks.
I can't repaint it or take it in.

This is the first tail I ever made and its beautiful, but it's not perfect.

I think I'm going to put it on ebay and see what the market can bear, but if anyone wants to make me an offer.....

It a small finis foil so it fits a size 7 - 9.5. You will be fine if you are a smaller size, but it would probably be a tight squeeze for a 10 or up.

I am really considering doing a raffle.

I was under the impression that the raffle was for your at cost tail contest? or is it for this pink tail? if its not for the pink tail then what are you asking for it? :)

Paypal has a refund option, to my knowledge. If you didn't receive enough entries, you could just refund everyone their money. Be aware that paypal charges a fee per each transaction .88 out of $20 will be kept by paypal if the money is sent in the US. The fees are higher for international transactions. With refunds, you don't get the fee money back. I would account for these fees in the goal amount for the tail. I wouldn't be too concerned about not getting enough entries though, you currently have the entire mermaid community in awe of your tails.

Also, will you be putting a cap on how many tickets can be bought by a person? Allowing people to buy more than one might help bring in entries.

I would definitely buy a raffle ticket! The measurements are nearly perfectly my size.

I was going to make an offer, but I'm battling some food allergies, and my weight isn't very steady, so on the off chance I win it and it doesn't fit I would gladly pass it on to another mer from the raffle!

Hmm... Now that it's a raffle... Is there any reason 'I' couldn't repaint the tail myself? Or is there a topcoat or something? It's a lovely paintjob, but like I said, I dislike pink so much I'm practically allergic to it. 'sees something pink, hisses like a vampire at garlic'.

Well.... yeah. But I do know that Jesse's tails can't be repainted because there's a topcoat or something? It was just the statement in the first post that she couldn't repaint or refit the tail. Made me wonder if there was a topcoat like on Jesse's tails.

Oh, no, I think she meant like "It's sold as is" so people don't ask to buy it and then get it resized/repainted for free (because that takes a LOT of time) Or maybe she does have a top coat on it - but I don't remember reading it in her thread about making it (though it's been a long while since I read it)

I thought Jesse's could? Maybe not, I know for sure MVD tails can't but I'm not positive about Jesse. With his constantly-wet look coat it might be that you can't repaint them (he does say that about every tail of his, so :P)

I think it's difficult to repaint a jesse tail because they're tinted all the way through, but I could be wrong.

With Dragon skin, you can alter the appearance of a tail with accent colors easily.

However you must use darker colors than the base color, otherwise the lighter colors do not show up.

Also, make sure you know what you are getting yourself into when conducting a raffle. There are rules and regulations concerning raffles, and they may differ from state to state. Some states require 50% of the proceeds be donated to charity.

Okay so basically I have a massive obsession with the color scheme on that tail. Like you pretty much just took the tail color of my dreams and made it a reality. So if I ever get a second tail, its gonna have those colors on it. <3

Edit: If this goes up as a raffle, I'm definitely in on it. Even if the tail doesn't fit me. I'll figure something out. I WANT THAT TAIL NUOHMYGOD
