Hi my name Darcy the Mermaid (still trying to come up with a mermaid name)
I'm new to the world of mermaiding and am excited for what lies ahead in the future. Although I've been scoping this site out since 2011 I've only just joined and I love it all of you are so positive and inspirational!!!
I have loved all things beachy ever since I was young:p, so thus mermaids have been a part of my life for a long time. Having surfed since I could stand i'm very comfortable in the water!!!
I have begun the construction of my very own silicone mermaid tail!! and will post progress photos as I go along (still cutting out foam scales for my scale sheet, only 1000 more to go!)
I cant wait until I've got to know this site and all of you more!!

Hi Darcy! I actually just finished my first silicone tail so if you have any questions I'm happy to help! Pearlie^ is also working on a tail. There's a lot of information on here that will help you in the tailmaking section. :) it's always great to watch someone make a tail so think about starting a thread for your progress!

I'm from Adelaide too! :D Its lovely to see so many mers popping up in Australia! :D If you're around in November, theres a mermaid meet happening on the 2nd :)
I'm also making my own silicone tail! Its been a tough road, as its pretty expensive to get all the products needed here in Australia, but I'm only a few weeks away from completion! :D Cant wait to see your progress!! Good luck!! <3

Hello every one!!!! Yeah Caltuna I just though if I was going to put in the effort might as well make it as professional as I can although I have seen some amazing fabric tails!! All of you are just so awesome and I love how everyone shares information its just so friendly and inviting. And I may have to take up on many of your offers for help (Jessica and Pearlie) as I've only just finished cutting out all of my scales and now its time to start on the fluke and the scale board!!
And Mizuko that's awesome id love to come to the mermaid meet up on the 2nd!!! And thanks Ariel Star fish!!
